Garmin nüvi 250 Review
This time I’m gonna review one of the cheapest portable GPS from Garmin and it’s the Garmin nüvi 250. This is one of the simplest GPS devices from Garmin. It comes pre-loaded with the maps of Canada and United States. It is pretty slim like many other GPS products from Garmin. The display interface consists of a color touch screen which responds to user’s actions pretty fast. I’ll call this cool device a user friendly, at the same time simplest GPS navigator.
You might be thinking of copying some advanced navigation utilities and tools to the device to make it much more powerful. For that purpose, there is an SD card slot. Just copy your favorite software in the SD card, and insert it in the SD card slot. You can copy files to the device through a USB cable as well.

Have you used GPS navigators before? Whats the maximum usage time provided by those devices? Garmin promises that you’ll be able to use nüvi 250 for at least 5 hours. After that, you can recharge it since it comes with rechargeable lithium ion batteries.
Garmin nüvi 250, even if it’s a light device, is with a huge database of POIs (Point of Interests) such as hotels, cafeterias, restaurants, ATMs, etc. If you wish to add a POI in the map, then you can do that as well since it supports custom user defined POIs.
What if, you want to go to a particular location and don’t know the procedure to find the routes? There is nothing much to learn. Learning to use Garmin nüvi 250 is as easy as learning 123. Just touch the location with your finger and it will tell you how to reach there through turn by turn voice directions.
Let me tell you what are the other things that I liked about Garmin nüvi 250 :-
—> Picture Viewer
—> World clock with different time zones (yippy, from now on, wherever I go, I’ll be ready with the exact time of that region !!!)
—> Calculator
—> Currency converter
—> Garmin lock feature – for added security ( wow, Garmin included this feature even in it’s low cost GPS device)
Garmin nüvi 250 can be bought from Amazon for a price of just $99.
